It all came of seeing what was out there and wanting to do it better. Founded in 2007 by fitness trainer Lisa Snow, On the Mend is not only about restoring health and fitness to those who may not have the time or ability for the gym, it’s also about mending the things that are wrong with most personal training: The train-'til-you-drop mentality. The inflexible programs. The egos that gyms attract. And the sense that everything has to be done on the trainer’s terms, not the client’s.
For us, personal training is about listening. Hearing your concerns and wishes. What kinds of fitness you enjoy, or don’t. What pace you’re comfortable with. And how you’re feeling, each time we train. With every client, we work to create a dialogue and a connection, one that helps us understand you better and motivate you, rather than pushing you. We’ll also, most likely, try to make you laugh. To us, fitness is a joyful thing; we want it to be the same for you.
