However expert your care, you can’t control what your patients do when they’re home. They may not be complying with your care plan or rehab.
Maybe they reinjured themselves exercising. Or they can’t stick to weight-loss recommendations. On the Mend offers personal training house calls
that build directly upon your care, for the patients who need it most.
We create a personalized fitness routine based on an individual health assessment, and on consultations with you—so we do nothing that’s
contraindicated, and emphasize movements that help restore strength, increase mobility, and speed the healing process.
Beyond weekly housecalls, we’ve found the best results by keeping clients moving for just 5-10 minutes per day in between sessions. We partnered with Pop Doc software to provide tailored exercise plans to each client. Created by an orthopedic surgeon, Pop Doc exercises are safe, effective, and simple enough for home use by people exercising alone or with non-medical support from home health aides, friends, or family.
How we’ve helped:
Pre-surgery fitness
Orthopedic and cardiac post-rehab
Chronic pain management
Exercising with chronic illness
Fall-risk assessment and reduction
Heart Disease
Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes
Accessible fitness with physical disabilities
Here’s how we work for patients:
One-on-one personal training. We visit clients at home, or in their building’s gym, in order to establish the trust and rapport that
helps us to motivate them.
Small group training. Partnering with only high-end, reputable fitness studios,
and limiting classes to six people to ensure that everyone’s individual needs are being met.
Massage therapy. Also in-home, performed by licensed, experienced massage therapists, and tailored to individual health needs.
Nutrition and wellness coaching. A complement to fitness, to increase energy, lower inflammation, and build a relationship with the
foods that will benefit them most.
Please note that we’re unable to take insurance, Medicare or Medicaid for any of the above.
We also work for you, in ways that can benefit your practice:
Speaking engagement referrals to client- or industry groups.
Networking opportunities with other health and wellness professionals.
If you’d like to discuss ways we can collaborate to benefit your practice, please call us at 914.563.3026, or

Physician Testimonials
“What makes Lisa so easy to refer my patient to is that she takes the time to understand what it is that I do and makes sure that the plan she makes for her client coordinates with the outcomes that I am looking for. She and her team are responsive and communicate quickly and effectively about my patients and let me know if there are other things I need to look at or if they need to make any changes to their program. Not to mention, they customize all of their workouts and don’t just prescribe some cookie-cutter workout scheme. My patients are in great hands with Lisa and the On the Mend Fitness team.”
-Dr. Brian Poole, Chiropractor
“As an acupuncturist who works with a lot of chronic pain conditions, I have found that my patients greatly benefit when they incorporate
physical training into their recovery process. Sending them to Lisa at On the Mend Fitness is ideal because (with patient consent), we are able to confer about how we can best work with the client to help them achieve long-lasting relief. Lisa and her team are great collaborators, and their expertise and commitment are felt by both me and the clients.”
-Jamie Wolfe, Acupuncturist
“Lisa is the perfect trainer for someone like me who has not been physical all his life. She is patient and gentle, always good humored and a good sport. She knows me enough to be persistent when I get lazy but never judgmental about my motivation! She is very knowledgeable about physical fitness and training, and explains everything in detail while she is doing it. She has been very helpful for me over these years.”
-Dr. Anjan Chatterjee, MD, MBA, Neurologist
